What were the high points of your career ? --
Playing and writing with the members of Journey. The star on the Walk of Fame, and the Bammie award are the stuff that dreams are made of.
What are your favorite songs that you performed with Journey? --
"Of a Lifetime" and "Topaz" ... really all of them.
What have you done since leaving Journey? --
School, traveled the world, helped raise a family or two.
Have you kept up on Journey since your departure from the band and what are your thoughts on the musicians that have been a part of the band since? --
Yes, I've kept up with the band and its members over the years. I think it's beyond belief how blessed Journey and all the members of the band have been. Every one of them has been, is, and will always be an essential part of the band and family.
It was especially good to see everyone in L.A. at the WOF event. All the new members (Steve and Deeno) went out of their way to make me feel a big and special part of the band; John Cain was the last person I saw as I left and he had some very heartfelt words with me.
What goes on at The Hive? --
Between The Hive and Scarab Studios -- song writing, audio recording, video editing, graphics, dreams, speculation, some truth, some lies, and lots of brotherhood.
What inspires and influences you today? --
My inspiration comes from my friends and family ; of course Ross and StevieKeys . Other influences musically today are people like Gershwin, Aaron Copeland, Gil Evans, Randy Newmann, Mack Rebeneck ((sp?) aka Dr. John), and of course my birds Quasar, Koko, Venus, Kiwi, and Paraquito.
